check the basics first, are filters clean.
anything blocking outdoor units airflow.
Google your models fault codes, and/or tell us which. model and if Mitsubishi or Mitsubishi heavy industries.

also count the flashes if there is a pattern.
This site may have a manual for yours, example is MFZ-KA25VA

Switch off at the switchboard or at the switch outside for 5 minutes. Then switch on and check again.
If it keeps happening, call the service agent. There's no user serviceable parts other than the filters or cleaning around the outdoor unit.

You could also try killing power to it for a full minute, that means turn off switch at outdoor unit or trip circuit breaker on switch board, and see if it goes again after.

Beaten to it while typing.

I notice for some if both lights blinking, it could be a jammed or dead fan on indoor. (floor consul models and lower fan at fault)
Think those also get upset if the opening louvers at bottom are jammed.

Lift the front panel and make sure the horizontal vanes are fitted correctly, this is what the manual for my Mitsubishi says when all lights are blinking, were the filters removed and cleaned recently, if so the vanes may not have been inserted correctly, it will also pay to search for the operating manual on line to be sure

Thanks everyone. Lights stopped flashing by themselves and everything went back to normal again. Very strange.
