I just have a question for Dahlia Lovers. Will a flower still continue to open and fill itself, if it is cut from the plant when only half open? Thanking you in advance.

Certainly will. Don't forget flowers that florists get are cut before the flowers are open for obvious reasons.

I was always taught dahlias need to be stem sealed - boiling water, or an open flame.
