Just brought a washing machine on here and have to go and pick it up. Can it be transported on it side lying down or dose it have to stand up. My vehicle is a ute with a canopy on the back so wont stand up.
Was thinking the washing machine could be on it's side with pillows stuffed under the top to give it a bit of elevation. Will that work.

If you tie up the agitator, presuming it is a top loader, to stop it falling over and damaging the shaft and mounts you should be ok if you are carefull. For a front loader install the freighting bolts before transporting.

Main problem with lying them down is water running into electronics.

Ok thanks guys. It's a top loader. I'll take a look under my washing machine and see how I can stabilise the agitator and drum. Worse case scenario I'll get help removing the canopy.
Many thanks for your help.

an old pillow or blanket works well
