Look up grey water gardening. I think you need to make sure your washing powder is phosphate free?.

can you actually seperate your machine drain off from the main drain?

We put a second pipe through the wall and out to a small tank at the height of the machine drain to take the water over summer.

I did it for 2 years, used a phosphate free washing powder. I didnt put it on leafy greens. Always made sure i washed all my veges well. Wish I had the set up in my new place to do it.

Of course you can. However our prices are cheap.
You tell me what costs $1.49 for a 1000 litres.
Petrol? Bottled water?
Fizzy drink?
Ink?
Nothing.
Can't complain about water being fed to your taps, so all you need do is turn them on, clean, germ free water.

Try it 100 years or so ago. people died of the water back then.

Washing powder will kill the moss on your grass so I would be carefull where you put it.
