Anyone have any good and easy methods to clean ceilings. Just finished the kitchen dining area but plenty more to go which also includes up the stairwell which is quite high

Yep easiest way is to get a cleaner in to do it

. and a sponge mop.

Old shower curtain draped on the floor and furniture beneath. Wrap a towel around the broom and using it dampened with handyandy or the like and water mix. mop away.

I put warm water with dishwashing detergent into a garden sprayer, give the ceiling a good spray, then like tansey says, wrap a towel around the broom and dry off. So easy and the fly poo just melts off

Shut all your doors and windows. have a kettle full of water in the room, and keep boiling it until the room is slightly steamy. Walk up and down your room with a clean sponge on a sponge-mop, so you clean all the surface. Open everything up to ventilate the room. easiest way I've found.
