Washing powder for weeds?

msmeets, Jun 20, 6:17am
Ive been told to cover my garden (not used at the moment) with washing powder to kill all the weeds I've inherited in some compost. the weeds are so bad i stopped trying to grow anything in that garden.
Has anyone done this. does it work. how long before i can use garden again?

Have used washing powder on moss on driveway with good results. I would recommend roundup or something similar with glyphosate 360 wait till weeds die, turn garden over and if the pesks come back give another dose of spray. Sounds like compost didn't get hot enough

Yeah washing powders for mass in lawns etc. Buy some cheap glyphosate from the warehouse, or cover it with a thick layer of newspaper, lawn clippings, carpet. Assuming they are annual weeds and not wandering Jew or oxalis

I've used salt on daisies with 100% success
