Rcd as above, but please note that it does not "Prevent" electric shocks, it only opens the circuit very quickly, when the flow of current to earth(which may be thru you) exceeds its set level , which is hopefully well before you get a lethal dose.

if you use an isolation transformer then you wont get any shocks when you cut the power cord or if its raining. if you use a RCD ,test it each time before using

RCDs are brilliant. Ran a 100m of TPS cable through a paddock to run a concrete mixer. Half way through the job the mixer stopped, looked up to see a calf chewing the cable.
