We have an above ground para pool which seems to be leaking in a couple of places. Not a huge amount but still a concern. Has anyone replaced the pool liner themselves? Or is it easier to pay a professional to do it? Any idea of the cost to get it done for us? Thanks for any help.

I worked with the pool guy - it took about 2 hours and is not difficult at all although ours is only a 4 meter circle . Best to talk to a pool guy and check it out, a small liner is about $400 and it is probably worthwhile changing sand in filter at the same time.Labour was $200 including fitting secondary pipe to feed a solar panel.

They can be patched, but they are easily replaced, you don't need to pay anyone. AquaTech industries in Onehunga stock liners for all pools email: [email protected]

Keep the old pool liner when it is removed. Cut into suitable sizes it is invaluable for covering things such as furniture or rubbish being transported. It will NEVER wear out! We have had the remains of ours for over 30 years. As for replacing it yourselves, if it's a big one, forget it, it is very difficult to settle without creases, & where there are creases, leaks will occur.
