Swimming pool turning green

Have brought a new house with a pool.We had it looking really nice and clear but it has suddendly turned green.Water test ok so not sure what is going on.Any help much appreciated.

Do another water test - the chlorine reading must be zero for it to turn green (the tab that is meant to be purple will be white).

You can take a bottle of water to a pool shop, often they will do a test for free. Prepare yourself for a shock at the price of pool chemicals.

If you keep the chlorine input constant (not necessarily heavy either) and perodically (to need) add copper with a little trial and error you can throw away or never purchase most of the totally extraneous additives that you will be bombaeded with.

i only ever use chlorine ,and have for 20 years :)
