I can hear my garden taking huge gulps of water.

My garden is loving this rain.

Mine is flattened. But the bees are okay!

I haven't lost too much, but all the flowers are gone, sadly. Glad your bees are ok.

We are not getting the wind (yet) just steady wonderful rain.
You garden will bounce back & be fresher for your bees.

Absolutely. And the old briar rose climber was really tatty and too high for me to get to - it's now within hedge clipper range so will be getting a haircut this weekend. The climbing geranium has taken a battering too, but that thing'd survive a direct hit any day. All in all I think we've survived quite well.

I'm in Wellington and we had a lovely night of rain. Hot and sunny again today, good for a swim but I do hope we get more rain. Only trouble is, having had my decrepit electric mower give up the ghost, I'll soon have to buy another one!

Our frogs were croaking yesterday in the rain. Haven't heard them today, must not be liking the wind gusts so probably tucked up in a bromeliad somewhere. The only item so far that has fallen/blown over is our frangipani tree that is in a XL plastic pot within a XL glazed pot. It went over in the wind this morning, luckily undamaged. But the plant in its plastic pot is a 2 person lift and the glazed pot is also a 2 person lift!. Scary wind. Haven't checked the rain gauge yet but it is all very welcome, just wish the wind would go.

No fruit left on my trees, and the ancient plum is threatening to split down the trunk in this wind :( The slip at the back of my section doesn't need this deluge either. the quicker this storm moves on the better! *and yes, I had already starting remedies before the last couple of days)

Oh dear . it's all good, but no, not all good, for now here are the weeds, bigger and stronger than ever!
