Stunning small tree - anyone know what it is?!

I cannot ID this, I don't know what it is though I should. Does anyone know? It's a small tree/large shrub standing around 2 m tall with the most exquisite dark pink flowers. I can't stop admiring it at the place we are staying at in Wairarapa.

It looks like a type of Myrtle.

Its a lagerstroemia - usually come in pale to dark pink or white.

Lagerstroemeia (sp). Crepe myrtle. Sorry I do not know which variety but they are all lovely and great in the garden.
