Any recommendations for some colourful plants/flowers for a low light, damp area? Ideally plant does not grow more than knee high. Thanks.

That's about it, or colour, apart from Fushias. Plenty of 'colour' can be added by different shades of 'green' & if you get it right can be absolutely gorgeous. Hostas, ferns, Ligularia etc etc. In a damp shady area you could replicate the lushness of our NZ bush.
