Anyone know what this weed is?

- maple shaped and same appearance leaves approx 15-20cm wide
- celery like stalk
- has sprung up out of nowhere and after 2 weeks some are 2ft tall
- has completely covered an area of around 60m2 after earthworks were done

Try going to My Trade Me, photos, perhaps you can start there and work it out from there not too hard to do.

Well done you, was not so hard. I should know this one but not sure. It may be a thorn apple. Definitely a weed though

i notice Apple of Peru has black stems but this has green. Looks very much like it though.

Thornapple (Datura stramonium). Often comes up after ground disturbance. Very long-lived seed.
