I am finding that 2/3's of my potatoes have brown streaked/speckled flesh. Is it weather related? I can't seem to find anything that resembles it under potato diseases. Thanks.

Could be potato sylit (sp) did you spray them? We have had an extremely dry summer,I kept the water up to mine regularly

I haven't sprayed, and we have had wet/dry but they were watered on a timer.

I've just cut one of the potatoes in half and it looks exactly like that happychappy50, thank you. Will have to see what can be done now.

Yep most likely it's tomato potato Psyllid and that is zebra chip you are seeing. Nothing you can do about it this year but starting potatoes early and spraying for the Psyllid or maybe using insect cloth is the way to reduce the chance of issues.

Thought I would use your thread Sylvia. What is the best way to store potatoes long term after digging them up. Have googled but looking at suggestions from here.
