I have an extension lead from the garage to run a couple of basking lights for tortoises. I put it inside conduit to keep the weather off it, and run it through an RCD for safety. I unplug the lights at night. The lights run fine when plugged in, and I've also used a weed eater plugged into it. But on the odd occasion I have inadvertently left it plugged in and switched on inside the garage, something is making the RCD pop. I reset it and it works fine. Any ideas?

A bit of moisture in the system or a faulty RCD.

Do the Tortoises look amused? Obviously they're taking the opportunity to f@@k with your mind.
