I have mower with a Kohler 8 Courage engine I use commercially and as the air filter is on the side if it rains and I cannot cover the mower in time the air filter gets wet I also have a mower with a B&S motor bus as it is a different filter on top it is fine. I want to keep the mower but wondered if anyone has a suggestion such as applying sealant along top edge of air filter but this amy block air intake.

I would go to a large Mower and chainsaw agency to see if they have any suggestions as they are dealing with them all the time.

Sounds weird, There must have been an original factory solution to this - unless im misunderstanding you - got a photo?

My mower has a Courage 8, but there is a plastic cover that fits over the filter and the throttle and choke connections as well.
Has a wee slot to allow for the spark plug lead.
