Scented geraniums. How did they ever get these fragrances in the leaves!Nutmeg, rose, orange, peppermint; and one I'm growing at the moment, camphor. It has the most amazing perfume, highly recommended.Much nicer than the mothballs we normally would associate with camphor, very clean, fresh. mmmSmells we love are most often associated with happy memories . flowering currants from my childhood holidays on an aunt's farm (she had a hedge of flowering currant) . a rose, just starting to flower now which a gift to my Mother & which has a beautiful subtle rose perfume . it just makes me think of her .I love it.

So many - Daphne, Sweet peas, Earlicheer daffodils, Azalea mollis, Rhododendron Fragrantissimum, Jasmine, Lily of the valley.
I also love the subtle scents of things that I think must take me back to childhood - irises, tulips, hypericum foliage (even if it's a weed).

While most women can smell this, I have not met a man who can.

I have this weed that grows in my lawn which gives off a sweet minty smell when I mow it - really nice. Also my naval orange tree this year went mental with huge blossoms - the delightful smell was around for a month.

At the moment we have 3 voodoo lilies in bloom. OMG - def not one of those delicious scents, but amazing to look at! All very dark wine-red, almost black. The biggest is more than a foot high - just the flower. The bestest-smelling thing in my garden is coriander. I brush against it every day and get a buzz.

I have a beehive near the front door - the perfume from that is delicious - especially on a warm day when the bees are fanning the entrance.
