HELP! - Our tiler seems to think it is not necessary to Prime or Waterproof before he puts on tiles using adhesive only - on aqua gib - this is in a bathroom!. Is this correct? I thought it would take 2 days between priming and waterproofing before tiling.

Code is . In a shower enclosure that walls have a membrane applied up to outlet,if it was me I would do the floor as well respective as once the tiles are down you are stuffed,I also do the walls outside a shower enclosure 200 mm up from the floor,just insurance,remembering that any water outlet has a capability of leaking water,have repaired so many water damaged walls/floors because basics were not done

Wise desicion,once he has done his job he has gone . Holding your money,better to get someone who you have confidence in & who will explain why he is doing what he is doing,that way you know what is happening & how your money has been spent,maybe try builders crack,seems a great web site where can check tradies creeds good luck,remember confidence in your tradie is paramount

Ask tile shops for recommendation.
