Can anyone advise what tree this is from please? I'm picking it's a plane tree but presume it's not the London variety. It comes from one of a small collection of large trees which are located on Greys Avenue in Auckland central, at the back of Aotea Square/ adjacent to Auckland Council main admin building. Flower is a bit wilted.

Tulip tree. I have two sitting in water on my table. The tree grows very high so one is usually unable to see the flowers but these were blown down in the wind.
