I just want to know if a roxy lettuce in a pot is wilting slightly because the soil is too damp will recover if I leave it alone to dry out? It's a gift I'm giving someone later this evening along with a tomato plant. will be a bit stink if it dies after I give it to the person.

Yes leave it. Friend killed her strawberries by drowning them. Cut off the leaves, left it in full sun, and stuck to restrained watering and they are growing new shoots now.

Oh heck I just went to look at it and it's just about flat. the sun must be too hot. put it in the shade. I hope it recovers
