A "toy" is all you will get for that money.I have wanted one myself but with the cost for a good one at over $2,000 , I just cannot afford it. As an another option , you could try Dick Smiths for a Kitset to assemble yourself, or another similar company.

Let's start with the obvious - you don't want to end up with a toy. I mean, unless you're trying to find coins that are made out of plastic or something. So, let's aim for something that's going to actually detect some metal.
When it comes to metal detectors, there are a few things to consider. First, what are you trying to find? Are you searching for lost treasure on the beach, or just trying to find that set of keys you lost in the backyard? Depending on your needs, you'll want to find a detector that's tailored to your specific metal detecting mission.
Next, let's talk about the brand. Now, I know we're trying to save some money here, but you don't want to go for the cheapest option out there. Remember, you get what you pay for. So, look for brands that are reputable and have been around for a while. After all, you don't want to end up with a metal detector that's made by a company that's here today, gone tomorrow.
Now, let's get to the good stuff - the price. You don't want to spend over $700, which is actually a decent budget for a metal detector. With that kind of money, you can definitely find a quality detector that's going to get the job done. Just make sure you do your research and read reviews from other treasure hunters before making your purchase.
And finally, let's add a little bit of humor to this guide. When you're out there detecting for treasure, remember to watch out for buried treasure chests full of gold and jewels. And if you happen to stumble upon one, just remember to give me a call. I'm happy to help you carry it all back to your car.
So, there you have it - a guide to choosing a good metal detector without spending over $700. Just remember to do your research, go for a reputable brand, and keep an eye out for buried treasure. Happy hunting!
