Identifying a weed

Can anyone identify this weed (in foreground) It can grow as tall as a person, has skinny stem, tiny white flowers and tough tap root. Has an unpleasant herby smell. A big one is very difficult to heave out of the ground. Tried Googling, but couldn't find it.

It's not Shepher's Purse, but looks like Stone Parsley, which smells when crushed.

I've got some of those and find them hard to pull out too, usually leaves the roots behind. I now spray them with Roundup and that seems tondo the trick for a few months
If there's a better way, I'm interested to hear it too :-)

My lawns are overrun with dandelions this year, seems to have spread all over town. Don't recall any last year but now they are everywhere
Seems the only solution is to mow weekly to prevent them turning into those puffball things and spreading seeds

Yes I'm pulling out my dandelions by hand.
I now have hardly any yellow flowers or puff balls come up.

But I think some have come back again. The trick may be to pull out that long root. The soil needs to be really wet.
It will be interesting to see what happens to my lawns next year.
