My lounge wallpaper has smoke damage from the fire smoke and I am going to clean it all by hand on a ladder. Should I use sugar soap or any other suggestions.

I use a product called multi Degreaser,diluted 15 to 1.[nz] Try a google search.

Do you mean the stuff I cleaned the car motor with and washed it off.can you use it on walls diluted.

Had a case like, found that super cheap spray on engine cleaner was about the best.

yes the same product, but at a more diluted rate to prevent any dye staining. It can be used to degrease motors, food safe to clean vats and walls floors; anything greasy or sooty.Try cantab then the product name.

Wow cleaned my walls today with degreaser.same stuff I cleaned the oil off the car motor with LOL better than sugar soap. Bit fumey tho
