Wiring in external walls

Our 1908 house has no powerpoints in the external walls. Is there any reason for this? I ask because we're thinking of rearranging our bedroom and a powerpoint (or 4) in the external wall would be really useful.

Thanks!

Yes you can have them put in, and shouldn't be too much of a problem. Generally they wern't done cause there was no need for them in 1908, or much need up to 1960s. Was only later on that people have found them useful. Get them put in along with rcd at switchboard and enjoy

In 1908 the only plug in appliance was maybe a light bulb.
