Genie is another beautiful one the council have recently planted streetside around our area. Love magnolias, miss the beautiful one we had at our last house.

With that upright, pyramidal form it is most likely to be one of the following - Felix, Burgundy Star, Cleopatra, Shirazz or Vulcan. At least, that's my take on it. Lovely tree.

Definitely Magnolia Felix (also known as Magnolia Felix Jury). I know this because it is one of our magnolias - bred by my husband and named for his father. www.jury.co.nz Should be widely available from garden centres.
