I think it may be a coprosma. Similar growth habit. Do you have a photo that has a closeup of the leaves!

Am just asking as there are 6 of them on our fenceline that I need to pull up for a new fence that's being built. Just wondering what to do with them and if they are hardy if it comes to re-planting them!

They are unlikely to transplant successfully at that size, but if you give them a good hard cut back and manage to keep the soil on the roots, with plenty of watering, you may succeed.

Its reversion and will eventually take over the plant :)

They take from cuttings really easily, so it might pay to take lots of cuttings in case the shrubs themselves don't make it.
