I have thousands of these lil beggers on my swan plants atm and more than a handful of caterpillars too.
Can I use the olive oil, baking soda, water spray to knock the lil blighters off without harming the caterpillars too!

I just wipe them all off with my fingers, and from a distance give them a light fly spray. Gone, no more aphids.

Hose them off, with high pressure, finger over the end of the hose. especially under leaves and wipe them with a sift cloth, I'd be scared to use flyspay, might kill caterpillers later.

I don't bother getting rid of aphids. My swan plants don't seem to come to any harm.

those orange ones will kill the plant. They turn it black, and it dies - pinch or squish them with your fingers - gross, but effective, and it won't harm the caterpillars.I've lost many swanplants in the past from these greeblies.Swanplants have a long tap root, so you should plant them asap - they grow really quickly once they're planted :)
