catbrat, Nov 1, 1:25pm

you may find an instruction manual online also

Yes I've been through troubleshooting in manual.i figure it must be electronic fault ,not sure of age as it's a rental ,no one can remember where or when it was purcgased

Serial number should tell you. normally bottom of door, back of machine, somewhere like that

casualobserver, Nov 1, 1:49pm
Must be super reasonably new - if no-one can even remember when it was purchased!

pettal, Nov 1, 3:14pm
unplug it - leave it for 30 minutes - plug back in and see if that helps

You forgot to add, give it a good thump with a fist too.

exwesty, Nov 1, 4:18pm
Are you the landlord or the tenant?

bergkamp, Nov 1, 5:04pm
ok upon taking the front panel off ive discovered the cable that leads to the display is completely severed where the door hinges ! 2 yrs old !

bergkamp, Nov 1, 5:05pm
landlord unfortunately

budgel, Nov 1, 5:18pm
That's a bummer, but in some ways a physical fault is better than an undiagnosable electronic fault.
Soldering Iron and double shrinkwrap sleeves spring to mind.

It's a Bunnings special.
You could try the CGA, it'll be out of warranty but should last longer than that. Goods should also be fit for purpose.
If you replace buy either F&P, LG, Beko or Bosch.

bergkamp, Nov 1, 6:34pm
. I think it's a 3 yr warranty . looking for the receipt .

Bosch slimline (the correct size ) is about 1800 dollars , the bellini is 500

A landlord might be able to fix appliances in his own home but has to leave it to professionals to fix anything electrical in his rentals.

We have an annoying habit of dating our new equipment, even lightbulbs!
It makes it easy to decide if it’s out of warranty and is interesting to see how long things last ( or not) too.

lovelurking, Nov 2, 8:57am
💭 🤔. I mean dating as in writing 2.11.2020 in permanent marker 😘

budgel, Nov 2, 12:04pm
Yeah, I cant see a dishwasher being much fun for a night out!

budgel, Nov 2, 12:06pm
Oh, of course.

Well you've buggered your warranty now then - by dismantling any of it, the vendor will likely say that you may have modified or attempted to repair it.
