Simpson Quintex dishwasher timer

This appears to be a Simpson Quintex 880 but the label is almost unreadable.
It has a clockwork type timer that sticks after a few minutes. How hard can it be to fix?

Try a small squirt of wd40 or crc into the timer workings and see if that helps. If not then the plastic cogs may be damaged and a new timer is needed but may not be available anymore. That sounds like quite an old dishwasher.

The dishwasher is about 30 years old. I am enjoying using appliances that do not have any computers in them. They are so reliable! I wish I had kept my Champion washer/dryer.

I put CRC in the timer and it is a lot freer, and it now finishes the wash.
The dishwasher seems to use the main motor for draining. There is no separate drain motor to get blocked up.

There was a guy that used to rebuild them. In Victoria I think. Some small appliance repair shops may know who he is if he’s still going.
