Looking for an interesting way to decorate (disguise) a 1200mm wooden retaing wall that has large posts 8"!) every1.5 metres. Thought about50mm bamboo poles attached verticallybut not easy to find, so interested in any other ideas but not into murals.

It sounds as though you don't want to plant anything!We disguised a tall picket fence with rolls of brushwood from Bunnings, attached with transparent cable ties.

there's also a bamboo screen, sold by the same people that sell brushwood fencing, at around the same price.

You can buy rolls of planter bags ,made from weed mat type material .They have individual pouches that can be filled with potting mix and used to grow any prostrate or weepingplants on a steep or vertical place ,like a retaining wall. This would give a more natural look.
