No salt water in the kitchen, so not a problem. It is only an issue for the aluminium anyway.

just go for 18mm MDF and buy better for drawer/door fronts. Most cabinets a re made on a 60cm matrix so you could ask your shop to cut panels for you. Buy a decent countertop though. Paint using small foam roller. If doors get bashed it's easy to make new ones.

What marine ply are you talking about for sure tanalised timber is but I have never had issues with marine bonded plywood such as red meranti and mahogany.

You need all you cupboards white inside for easy clean
This is available on ply not only on MDF ot partical board
You can even just leave edges exposed & seal them
It looks great
Cheaper that all these other ideas yet still using ply

Sounds great. I managed to get ahold of 16mm white melamine coversheets for free- just strap marks on the edges. I used them to make shelving in the wife's wardrobe for her steampunk junk. Looks just like a bought one.

that would depend on the type of epoxy used. Many are crystal clear now, some even tending toward blue.
