I have 2 beautiful Hollyhock plantd that seem to be thriving but I have noticed that their leaves are being nibbled at and I think it is happening during the night; this morning I noticed some of the leaves look like lace!
Any advice; a diagnosis and treatment recommended would be gratefully received!

Earwigs ? Scrunch up newspaper into loose balls and leave around the base and collect next morning to burn . I have a lovely peachy apricot single out . love hollyhocks
Bugtrol. But spray the leaves (not flowers) in the evenings when all the bees have gone home for the day.
Wonderful stuff for bad bugs.
