Do you keep the centre of the plant wet?

more details would be good, or a picture? is that plant indoor or out? what sort if you know and did this plant had 'pups' already?
The mother/mature plant slowly die off to feed new pup(S), we have lots of brooms here mostly outdoors, only old plant show dry tips on the leaves, we just use scissors and trim them.

not sure, if is planted in the ground the soil maybe a bit too wet, most of them love good drainage or even no soil at all.

How long ago did the Brom start browning? Two things that will kill Broms, is copper and treated timber wood smoke. Copper will kill Broms. Copper is used in most fungicides and some insecticides; its found in CCA treated timber (copper logs) and even in some wood mulch.
