Pamow69 - I need your advice again

You've done it again - armed with that info, I found exactly what I wanted, it's installed and working. Thank you, pamow69.

Your welcome. Good to hear of another good result.

I have to replace a single Dish Drawer. The new ones are a different size, so it has to be an earlier model to fit in the space. Is it safe to buy a second hand one?

Hi Cosimo, sorry for delay. Been a busy day and late coming on here tonight. What model number are you taking out and what one are you looking at when you say " the new ones"? I wasn't aware that they had changed the size. I can check tomorrow for you. Yes 2nd hand can be safe to buy but like everything, ask plenty of questions i.e. is there any problems you know about? What is the reason for selling? Forget about the DS601 and 603 models - too old. You need the DS605 - last one before the new shape front panel.

Thanks for that. I will have to find out the model from my tenants - the house was built in 1999 so it will be from around that era. It has been a bother for a while, and the previous tenants have been able to keep it working. But it appears to have a leak that the current tenant (who is something of a handyman, so not lacking in nous) says he can't fix.

I haven't checked the size, but the ads for the new ones say they are deeper - and since it is only a single, I assumed that meant it would be deeper.

It looks like the latest models are same width (600mm) same depth (560mm) but higher to allow for taller plates. That's what they are referring to when they say deeper, the tub is deeper. The height also varies from 454mm to 478mm depending on model number. The older ones were 410mm high. If you are stuck with the older measurements then look for a good DS605 model.
