what is a long term solution to weed control, we have a silly kerb all down our 15m drive, and lots of cracks, well the 2nd pic shows the worst one, which goes across our drive, i thought maybe a bag of concrete and fill it,

I just pour boiling water on the weeds growing through the cracks in the concrete. It is not a permanent solution but it is easy enough to maintain. Spring is the hardest time as the weeds grow so well and there aren't as many sunny days for the boiling water to be as effective as normal.

You can get long term weed killers for areas such as this as long as there is no chance of rain washing the chemical into lawns and gardens, even a few weeks after spraying. We use TAG and not sure if home gardeners can or not. So long since I used the others I cannot recll their names. Maybe Prefix/Simazine. They work up to 6 months as long as the soil is not disturbed.
