I was given some purple coloured tomatoes the other day. They were small about the size of small plum juicy and oh so sweet no sharpness at all. I was wondering if there is someone out there who can tell me the name of them . I managed to get some seeds and have dried them out . When can I pot them please? Your help is much appreciated thanks in advance.
You could start them in a sunny windowsill in August and plant out in October, mine are blackish red and crop abundantly, don't know their name but tasty.

Just went and checked them on the site you provided pip Many Thanks they are called Black Cherry Tomatoes. To retrogold Many thanks also to you. Have taken note as to when to plant they . They are sooooo good.

Yes I was given some black tomatoes to try last season, not the cherry ones, they were bigger, and oh so delicious.

I bought something similar the other day at the vege shop, they are called Kumato.
