Cheap and easy garden filler - foliage

Just did an area under neath my sons deck with bromeliads . s friend of mine was thining hers out. easy just poke them. check neighbourly sites or garden Facebook pages. some people will gladly help out.

What about Star Jasmine guys? It smells so lovely. There is already ivy and other climbers at the property so the hedge trimmer gets a bit of use anyway.

Alternatively there were some lovely hibiscus at the garden centre round the corner. Maybe a few of those and a load of bark to keep the weeds down. I don't want to spend much more than $100 If possible.

Heucheras are good fillers, nice dark red or green low foliage, has a tall spiky nondescript flower. Grows very easily from cutting. Also I like Sisyrinchium angustifolium Lucerne - Blue-eyed Grass, very easy to grow from splitting main plant. Both perennials.
