The otherside of that hammer opens every window regardless of catches. Security stays are cheap enough and easy to install.

Maybe that's a home show thing - we had a guy (from a home show stand)come to our place to quote a heat pump never heard back.

Yes but if you smash the window it makes a lot of noise. You can open a window open on the second stage of the window catch with a claw hammer while someone is asleep and never wake them. And that is from experience.

We got a smartvent installed about a month ago. Have had no condensation since. Prior to getting one, we would have condensation on nearly all windows, every cold night. The house is so much drier and warmer, don't get that chill anymore when we would walk down to the bedrooms. As a stay at home mum, I had the windows, doors open all the time, or ajar at night, made no difference to condensation levels.

Yep son has one and we put one in rental all are pleased with MM
