2nd hand HRV system help

Got myself a 2nd hand HRV system that was supposed to be complete. Looks pretty well straight forward, but I'm unsure on a couple of things. 1 / Dose it just suck in air from the roof space or is there suppose to be a outside inlet as well. 2/ On the inlet side there is a boaster fan ( I think) the diameter is a different size to where it fits onto the main casing. Is it just a matter of finding a adapter or is there something else missing. 3/ they cut the plug that goes into the control panel. Is this just a standard type cord. If so what is the name of it.

1. Roof space
2. Do you have a filter box? That would normally go on the inlet to the main fan unit. Need more photos. Not sure what that other fan is for.
3. RJ11

Nice that they cleaned it all for you. So much for healthy air.

Thanks. Yes its a bit dirty, but the 1st photo is before it goes though the filter. The outlets are a lot cleaner. The 1st photo shows the filter box with its inlet shown, then there's the main blower, then the filter and then the outlets. . the filter and the outlets is on the other side.
Will post some more pictures of it tomorrow when it's light.

The extra fan is typically an inline fan, it should not be hooked up to the ventilation system as that particular fan is not variable or dual speed.
The connector is an RJ12 and needs to be crimped on, it does not matter which way around it goes.
Definitely give a clean and put a new filter in it to be safe. The whole system looks pretty old and the HRV don't have a very long life span so don't spend too much time/money on it.
