Ignore the person above.Don't tint it with anything, just paint it all white, if you tint it it will date quicker.Colour is added through furnishings and accessories.

Yes. But I regret the white vinyl in the kitchen. That was a pain. I'd go wood look floors - perfection.

I had smudgy white tiles in a large area in my former home, no problems, so now have off white tiles in my kitchen & from experience they sure beat black tiles for hiding any footprints/dirt.

I will never paint again. I will take the hard route and wallpaper. Painted surfaces mark too easily.

I painted our whole vintage villa in vivid, off the shelf white. It looks incredible. We have accessorised with bright and warm colours, touches of black, in a shabby-chic kind of style. We also have exposed rimu floorboards (awaiting treatment). White can look stark in modern contexts or on huge blank walls, but I think you'll find most houses have a lot of stuff taking up wall space etc, and white just provides a fresh background. It is not glarey at all, and we didnt tint it with anything. So much cheaper too!
