Olive trees

We have just moved into a townhouse where there are another 7 other properties using the same driveway and they can all look into our kitchen. I'm sure they don't, but I feel like I'm living in a goldfish bowl, plus I'm not a particularly tidy cook, we have a narrow garden outside the window and thought we could plant something like olive that's not too dense that it's going to cut out too much light but give us a bit of privacy as I don't like having to have the blind closed all the time, also have to have something that's roots won't damage the drains, any suggestions please

The olive I have here used to be in a pot, I planted it out now it is huge, 25 ft or more, no good near your home.

Just give one a go - we have had one that has been well trimmed and it is still going.
