a litre of petrol, at night go out and pour it down the entrance then just walk away!

we had this problem just last week. bought "no wasps" from Mitre 10, $20, its a container of powder that you shake in and around the nest (on dusk). Worked a treat

Some jam ,2 tablespoons and a teaspoon of Frontline flea treatment mixed in Place at the entrance in the evening.

poored petrol down the hole and covered it up,problem solved.
+1 for Petrol or Diesel, just don't try to light it!

NOT DIESEL! First its simply hopeless and producing fumes (its a light oil), its unlikely to kill wasps but will do a great job at making that part of your garden a dead zone for many many many years. Petrol will work much much much better!
