What price range are you looking at!

No idea! Not a fortune obviously, just value for money, good workmanship. Small kitchen that doubt not alot can be done with but someone with ideas would be a help too!

Go around and take your existing area plans to kitchen places, don't forget placemakers, mitre 10 etc. Some of then has brilliant ideas and some are hopeless. Once you start talking with people in the industry then you will start to see the polential with your area. Our kitchen was designed/from placemakers and completely different from my original thoughts. Very happy with it after 5 years. We used serotone as the splashback.

The hardware store kitchens are based on flat packs, although some of them will also have a made to order service. Flat packs are usually less expensive.

Flat packs are completely out. I don't require , or can afford,a whole new kitchen (I wish) plus area is quite limited. New bench tops, plus maybe sink, new cupboard doors/drawer fronts. Thanks!

The flat pack suppliers may sell cupboard doors and drawer fronts separately, but only in their standard sizes. I know Mitre 10 does.

Allow around $1,700.00 for a formica bench top, single sink around $280.00, new mixer tap $200.00 to $300.00, depending on your cabinet style you may have to get a joiner to make new doors, anyone's guess as to the cost there

I would agree on the bench top, if you have it made to order. If you are happy with a straight bench, in a limited range of colours, hardware chains have standard ranges of benchtops at excellent prices. You can also do much better on the sink and mixer, especially if you avoid buying from your plumber.

Cheers! Made my day, maybe my 'thought about budget' will cover what I want!(Round $5000) Don't need new tap/mixer, already renewed not so long ago! Bench is more than just a 'straight bench', no idea if cupboards are 'standard sizes' but would love a recommendation of 'kitchen companies' as seems to be heaps, even joinery places that would price and supply/fit! Recommendations!
