I planted some chives in my herb garden, and have been eating them by cutting some off with scissors, but now its all short and not enough to cut off anymore. Should it grow back like grass or do I need to plant another one!

I was told to pull the leaves, not cut them, like rhubarb, I suppose.

They keep growing, and it will come back up if you let it go to seed too.

It's worth having several clumps of chives so you can alternate. They will die down for a while in late autumn, but be patient as they do come back again. In the meantime you can sprout a couple of onions on your kitchen windowsill and snip the green tops as an alternative.
