I have one of those green plastic potato bag. do I fill it right to the top and put the seed potato in, or do I just put say about 1/3 soil, then the potato, then when it sprouts, add more soil.A person told me this is how to do it, but when my late dad grew his, they just went in the soil and that was it. thanks.need to do this today.

only put enough soil in to cover the bottom of the bag (a few cups full) Then put the potato in, with the sprout side facing up. Then top the soil up till the bag is 1/3 full. Then when the plant grows about 20cm above the soil, top the soil up till it's 2/3 full. Then repeat when the plant is bigger again :)

Yes - how big is the bag! I put one potato to a normal household bucket so it depends on the size of the bag. If it is the same size as a large rubbish bag you would get 4-6 in there
