We transplanted 3 of them when we built our new house a few years ago and some were even older and didn't do anything special, just make sure you move them after fruiting. We actually had fruit the next season which was surprising.

We moved 2 of ours 3 months ago. One has survived, the other is not. We are baby-ing it along though.have tied its wee trunk to the fence to help keep it upright. Only watering it twice a week but gave it the same home mixed fertiliser as the other one. We think it's having problems because when we dug it up it's root system was way deeper than the other one and it took us ages to dig it out. Hence we probably damaged some of the root system in the process. These trees were awesome little producers but because of where they were originally planted, they had to be moved. (We were moving a fence). I go out and talk to it (and them all) every day.the mad tree whisperer! Good luck with yours!
