Milwaukee cordless drill needs new brushes

tonnes, Feb 9, 2:07am
Do I get new brushes (cost!) or go on TM get a new drill body!

Milwaukee is a pretty decent brand right!
I'd look into repair.

New brushes for sure, if the drill has brush caps then buy them and fit them yourself, around $25.00, if they are internal then the brush plate assembly will need to be replaced, this requires dismantling the drill and soldering in the new brush plate, brush plate is around $25.00, if you are paying a repair shop to do the job expect a bill around $60.00

I certainly would be pricing up a bare tool as well. My Makita BHP 451 (highest end drill / hammer) was only a tad over $100 new.

Hi tonnes, phone your local Ideal Electrical wholesaler with the model number of your drill and ask them to quote for your brushes. It wont be that expensive. Couldn't tell you cost off the top of my head but let me know if you need some help

this is pretty much retail in the states - lots of people go to the states, just bring one back.
