Hadput a post on herebefore regarding this climber, but still having problems.A brown spot appears on the leaves, then they turn yellow and fall off.I have treated it twice with epsom salts, but this has made no difference. It is still sending out new shots though.Cant see any pests on the leaves. What could be the problem. It didnt occur last year.

Look on the branches and stems and under leaves for brown disc like things, it could be brown scale. If you don't know scale, google images for a pic.

No,it does not have scale,I know what they look like. One of my other climbers did have them, but I treated it.

I have had a small branch of it doing this. Simply cut off the whole branch, so far so good.it was a sucker right at the bottom.

epsom salts is not a 'treatment'.You might have a fungus, or bacterial infection.I could also be planted in the wrong location . does it much air flow around it!Does it get much sun!If you said no, to one of both of those, you have it in the wrong location and it will always suffer.Perhaps you could post a photo and we could identify your issue!

I had this happen to mine. Epsom salts did nothing for mine either. I spent a bomb on sprays and sprayed for red spider mite.sorry the name of the spray eludes me.and it did improve for a season.but I ended up pulling it out as it just never did well. The garden centre staff told me that Pandoreas are very deep rooting, and have widespread roots and the roots don't like being compacted. Is it maybe too near a fence or garden kerb where the roots have got trapped or bound. also they don't like clay soil, or poor drainage, and it may have wet feet, that causes yellowing. Hope that helps.
