i have a couple of those flaxy type grass plants and want to move them coz they r too big where they r. would they die if i moved them now! i dont know what they r called as i'm not a gardener

Can you just take a baby plant from the side and discard the rest! It is a bit hot now to move big plants.

I broke up one large one and got about 20 babies from it, but they needed constant watering and took a long time to enlarge.

Now is really a bad idea, but give it until April, you can split plants and they'll establish over winter.

thank u all however they dont have babies.just long thin flaxy looking grass but will wait till maybe april and move them.they werent supposed to grow as big as they did .were meant to be only about 15cm x 15cmbut they r about 75cm tall and about a metre across. too big for my tiny garden
