Moving a mature tree?

Hi, we have a beautiful tree (sorry unsure of the variety) 65cm circumference trunk growing against our back fence. We would love to move this before it causes a problem with our fence. Is this something that can be done, has any successfully done this themselves or should I get an expert in!

Should have said the tree is prob 8-10 years old

If you do it yourself it must be donein Autumn or winter in cooler and wetter weather to minimize shock.Dig down and in a wide circletominimize root damage. Also and despite the weather saturate the roots with water.
But this process only for smaller trees -max say 2.5 meters
.Big ones are best left to the pros.
